The promise of the digital age was that anyone, anywhere, could access a worldwide web of information. But as tech companies raced to create the next shiniest thing for customers, accessibility and usability were left in the dust.
The dream of an accessible digital utopia seems far off – but that’s where we come in. By focusing our programs on research, education, and advocacy instead of audits, we get to the root cause of why the web isn’t more accessible.
Donate to our cause
You can help us create a digital utopia. Any amount is appreciated and takes us one step further toward a truly accessible web.
We’re a team of internationally recognized educators and experts in accessibility with lived experience of disabilities and neurodivergence. And we haven’t given up on the dream of a digital utopia.
However, we’ve seen at this point that big corporations aren’t going to be the ones to create that reality. The power for change, as always, lies in the hands of the people.
Digital A11ies is a small team with big dreams, and any contribution we receive gives us a little boost towards realizing them. Each donation is a confirmation that we truly are headed in the right direction—that we as a digital community can come together for an inclusive web.
FAQs
We are a not-for-profit organization currently awaiting exempt status. However, we are able to operate as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) while our application is pending.
Because of our pending 501(c)(3) status, your donation will not be able to be deducted from taxes immediately. When we receive confirmation of our exempt status from the IRS, we will send an email update to donors, and your donation will be retroactively deductible for up to 3 tax years.
However, under the current tax laws, most individuals and households will claim the standard deduction. Charitable contributions can only be deducted for those who itemize their deductions. Consult with your tax adviser to find out if you should deduct your charitable contribution.

We accept all major credit cards, and are also happy to process donations offline such as wire transfers and checks. For more information about donating using these methods, please email us at donate@digitala11ies.org.
There are no processing fees for online donations for donors. We cover all processing fees through Stripe.
There is currently a suggested $1,000 maximum for online donations. If you would like to donate a higher amount, we would prefer to accept those donations offline via wire transfer. To donate offline, please contact us at donate@digitala11ies.org.
A donation is generally an irrevocable gift not eligible for refund, and there are limited circumstances under which we are able to refund a donor. Your generosity plays a very important part in helping us achieve our mission. However, if you are at all unhappy with your donation and would like to request a refund, please reach out to us at
